Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SubTrack: Subscription Vault ("SubTrack", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the SubTrack mobile application.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
SubTrack is designed to be local-first and privacy-focused. The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Subscription details you enter, such as names, costs, billing cycles, categories, reminder settings, notes, and related dates.
- App preferences and settings.
- Backup and export files you create, which remain on your device until you choose to share them.
2. Information Processed by Third Parties
To support in-app purchases and basic app operations, limited data is processed by the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play — processes payment transactions and manages purchase receipts. Their respective privacy policies apply.
- RevenueCat — validates purchase receipts and manages entitlements. RevenueCat may receive an anonymous app user ID, purchase receipts, device identifiers, and your IP address (used for currency geolocation). See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple Analytics — if you have opted in on your device, Apple may collect anonymized usage data such as session length, crash reports, device type, and locale on our behalf. You can disable this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- No account registration or login is required.
- No bank or payment credentials are accessed by the app.
- No advertising identifiers or ad-tracking data is collected.
- No data is sold to third parties.
4. How We Use Information
Information is used only to provide core app functionality:
- Displaying and managing your subscription data.
- Scheduling local reminder notifications on your device.
- Processing purchases, restores, and entitlement checks.
- Exporting or importing data when you use backup or CSV tools.
5. Storage and Security
Your subscription data is stored in a local database on your device. Purchase validation data is processed by RevenueCat on their servers. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Data you enter in SubTrack remains on your device unless you delete it within the app, uninstall the app, or replace it through a backup import. Purchase records managed by Apple or RevenueCat are retained according to their respective policies.
To request deletion of any data associated with your purchases, contact us at the email below and we will assist you.
7. Your Choices
- Edit or delete any subscription at any time inside the app.
- Disable notifications in your device settings.
- Opt out of Apple Analytics in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
- Uninstall the app to remove all local data from your device.
8. Children's Privacy
SubTrack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
